Breathing colour into trans-seasonal dressing with Pom Amsterdam!

September is always a really exciting time for us here at Bishop Phillpott, with the change in seasons comes a whole host of new arrivals from our favourite brands. And whilst we don't want to wish away summer, we can't help but be excited for a autumn as, let's be honest, it really is the part of our wardrobe we use most in the UK!

The shop is now fully in the process of it's autumn transformation with collections from Paul Smith, Weekend by MaxMara, Marc Cain & Dea Kudibal now in store. But the brand we really wanted to showcase to you this week is Pom Amsterdam as it's filled with some gorgeous trans-seasonal pieces that can be worn now and styled for the winter months in a different way.

Pom Amsterdam is created by sister duo Liesbeth and Violet Lotgering from Amsterdam and this year celebrates 10 years in the industry. We absolutely love this brand & their ethos which is 'dare to be colourful', the collection is filled with the most beautiful and unique prints hand painted by Violet herself, which are combined into wearable pieces that bring absolute joy to your wardrobe. They have become a firm favourite amongst customers for their dresses which have such a great cut to them and can be worn both casually and for those smarter occasions. For this season their knitwear is also a great new addition, looking fab layered over their dresses to give them true versatility.

The brand works with fabrics that are kind to nature and your skin. Like the vegan fabric cupro, made of the leftover seeds of the cotton plant and leaves a smaller environmental footprint. Cupro items are incredibly soft; they breathe like cotton and feel like silk.

Here we've picked some of our favourite pieces from the collection, but do pop in store for a better look and to really see the colours, prints and quality for yourself!

The ultimate dress, which has already been super popular in store, a gorgeous and easy to wear shape that looks fab teamed now with trainers, later on in the season with chunky boots for casual dressing. Or wear with some gorgeous heels now, or long heeled boots for winter for those smarter occasions. Layer up later in the season with a knit as seen below or chunky cardigan. It really is a truly versatile piece! Dress £145

Perfect for layering over dresses, this lightweight knit is the softest coral tone which is so flattering and perfect for adding colour to your wardrobe as we head into autumn. Also available in khaki. Knit £121

Statement sleeves continue to be a big hit going into Autumn, and this dress certainly has them! A fun and vibrant dress without over the top, this print is just beautiful. We love it worn here with longer boots, but we think it would also look great with dark tights, or even leggings with some ankle boots. Dress £145

The same beautiful print and statement sleeve in blouse form! Use it to liven up your denim, with some great ankle boots or dress up with some tailored trousers or coated jeans for a glam evening out. BLouse £110

An easy way to bring some vibrancy to your wardrobe this season, we love the print on this sweatshirt, in the most gorgeous greens. We think this will be one of those pieces in your wardrobe that just keeps coming out! Sweatshirt £90

Another versatile piece, this heart print shirt is super easy to wear with a fantastic shape. We love the styling here with jeans to give it that smart/ casual look, but team with darker denim or tailored trousers for a smarter look. Shirt £110
